Kieyah first came to EyrePlus as a voluntary participant in July of this year after hearing a lot of positive feedback from family members about our services for the Community Development Program (CDP).

Through the CDP program, Kieyah was able to receive assistance in getting job-ready, as well as the opportunity to get involved within the community. As a result of her positive engagement, Kieyah was identified as a candidate for a short-term administration position.

Kieyah was successful in getting the job, which was a two-week administration backfill position at Ceduna Aboriginal Corporation. With her positive attitude and work ethic, Kieyah continued to increase her skills set within the administration field thanks to our support, and the guidance of her employer.

Although the position was only for two weeks, Kieyah stood out to her employer, as she’ s now been employed at the local organisation for 13 weeks. Her employer is so happy with Kieyah’s work performance that her contract has been extended to December 2019, with the likelihood of her successfully obtaining work beyond her contract date.

Due to Kieyah’s employment growth, we had the capacity to also help Kieyah in successfully getting her P1 Drivers License, with us being able to assist with the cost of both her test and actual license.

Everyone within the EyrePlus team is extremely proud of Kieyah for earning the EyrePlus financial support and for maintaining her position within the Aboriginal Organisation.

We will continue to be with Kieyah throughout her employment journey, and we wish her the best of luck with her new administration position.
