At EyrePlus, our strength lies in our people. Each team member brings unique experiences and a shared commitment to empowering communities across the Far West region. In our Meet the team series, we sit down with the people who make our work possible.

Tell us a bit about yourself

My family background is in pastoral properties in the Mid-North of South Australia, where we lived and worked for many years. We relocated to the West Coast for a sea change and to enrol the kids in school, and it’s been a great move. Growing up in the outback I have fond memories of horse riding, camping, and attending local Gymkhana events. My spare time is spent gardening, getting outdoors, and trips to the beach.

What led you into this line of work?

I’d previously worked in hospitality, NDIS support, and finance, and through each of those I found myself committed to supporting people and working collaboratively for the benefit of communities and individuals. That eventually led me here.

Tell us about your role and what a typical day at EyrePlus looks like for you.

I work in partnership with employers and members of the community to support employment needs and help people navigate pathways for personal and professional growth, working towards their individual goals and interests.

Do you have previous experience in this industry or related experience?

I was previously part of the EyrePlus Remote Community Pilot Program as a Mentor, and I also have extensive experience in the hospitality and customer service industries.

What is your favourite thing about working for EyrePlus?

I love working alongside colleagues with skills and knowledge in employment services and community development, all working towards the same goals. I also appreciate being able to take an understanding approach to each person’s unique circumstances and recognise their achievements. I’m grateful to be part of the EyrePlus team.
