Tell us a bit about yourself
I live on a farm around 40 km outside of Ceduna, where my family has worked with the same farmer for over 25 years. My partner and I have four adult children, and we thoroughly enjoy life on South Australia’s West Coast.
What led you into this line of work?
My passion for helping others find direction and purpose led me to pursue a career as an Employment Consultant. I find great fulfilment in supporting people as they navigate their journey into meaningful work.
Tell us about your role and what a typical day at EyrePlus looks like for you.
I’m passionate about working closely with participants to help them become job-ready, and discover employment opportunities that genuinely align with their interests and goals.
I’m fortunate to be part of an amazing team. Our manager leads with encouragement and support, and the other Employment Consultants are generous with their guidance. It’s a collaborative and positive environment that makes a real difference in our work.
Do you have previous experience in this industry or related experience?
After finishing school, I trained as a vet nurse. Then I started a family, and spent 20 years as a stay-at-home mum, helping my children grow into strong adults and find their way in the world. When I returned to the workforce, I worked at Centrelink for a short time, which gave me industry experience to bring into my current role.
What is your favourite thing about working for EyrePlus?
I find great fulfilment in supporting people to become job-ready and helping them discover roles that genuinely align with their interests. I’m also fortunate to work with an amazing team. Our manager is incredibly encouraging, and my fellow consultants are welcoming and supportive. It’s a positive and collaborative environment that makes a real difference.
What have you learned in your time with EyrePlus?
“Coming together is a beginning, staying together is progress, and working together is success.”
